 About Us

Our Vision

"To provide football opportunities to all children"

Our Mission

"To provide children with a happy, safe and enjoyable environment to learn and play football"

Billinge Juniors Football Club was established in 2005 after a demerger from Billinge Football Club.  The juniors teams use the Billinge crest as our badge and it can be seen on both the kit and the training wear. The Latin inscription of “Dico Cum Ignis” means speak with fire and originates from the beacon which was situated on Billinge Hill. In 2015, Billinge Juniors moved to s single site at Eddleston fields and all teams from U6 – U18 play there.

Even though the senior and junior clubs are now run individually, there is still a strong link between the two which allows the junior players at U18s to naturally progress into the senior set up. The Club colors are maroon and sky with white and navy as trim colors. Most kits are purchased with the kind help of individual team sponsors #1,  who without their generous support, Billinge Juniors would find it even harder to meet the needs of the children who play. We appreciate all the help and assistance our sponsors give us.

Billinge Juniors supports both Mini football from under 6’s school reception/year one to under 11’s school year 6 and Junior football from under 12’s (school year 7) up to and including teams at the under 18’s stage as per the Rules and Regulation as laid down by the Football Association and the club host at least one team at each age group. Some age groups within have more than one team dependent on numbers of children and the required number of coaches/managers to support them.

All age groups within the Club play within the Warrington Junior Football League (WJFL) and with both league and cup matches organized by the league. Matches are played on Saturdays (U7s-U12s) and Sundays (U13s-U18s). The teams are supported by the Billinge Juniors Committee which comprises of Club Chairman, Secretary, Club Welfare Officer and Treasurer.

In 2007, the club proudly obtained a Football Association Charter Standard Club certificate. This means that ALL Billinge Juniors coaches are qualified to a minimum FA level one grade Football Association standard. Also the Charter Standard insists that ALL coaches and assistants hold a valid CRC certificate and are also trained in basic first aid and hold an FA certificate in Child Safeguarding. These qualifications give assurance to parents, guardians and players alike that Billinge Juniors take their responsibilities seriously and have a duty of care at all times to the needs of the players. All coaching is provided on a purely voluntary basis and Billinge Juniors will always ensure that new coaches are qualified as required by the FA and are fully supported at all times#2.

The Club continues to grow and has some 25 teams and over 350 children and young adults playing football at the club. The Club is affiliated to Lancashire FA who provide: governance, guidance and advice.
